Future Projects being put together at the ATC

|
Powering
the landscape -
Working in partnership with Calderdale Museums, this project will carry out an
audit of all the mills in the Upper Calder Valley, with
particular reference to the power used but also exploring the social economy
and relating the information to the present and the future sustainability of
the valley |

|
Electric Bicycle hire -
Working with the
National Trust, we developed a plan for an
Electric Bike hire scheme which would run between the ATC, the train station
and Gibson Mill. The project will also include a bike recycling facility. |

|
Valley Energy Project
-
In line with the demand for renewable energy (RE)
which has emerged from the Rural Renaissance process, the ATC is working
with partners to establish a valley energy strategy. |

|
Woodland action
group
This group
was formed through the Rural Renaissance Initiative, as a project which had
many crosscutting themes. The ATC brought the group together to help
identify the potential for biomass opportunities in the area whilst ensuring
that all parties work to a common plan. |
