Hedge Laying Workshops


Run in the winter when the sap is down, these workshops are helping to revive the ancient craft of hedge laying.  Laying hedges can help to rejuvenate aging hedgerows because it encourages  new growth, it can improve weather protection to your garden and its wildlife and it forms a sturdy barrier to livestock.

Learn the skill of hedge laying on an established local hedge from Calderdale Council’s Countryside & Forestry Wardens on;

Saturday 21st January

9.30am-4.30pm  at Salem field
